System Engineer 2

Annapolis Junction, MD · Information Technology
The Systems Engineer will, troubleshoot and maintain Information Technology (IT) systems.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, install, manages and troubleshoot UNIX and Windows operating systems and GOTS/COTS software
  • Support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices
  • Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 14 years troubleshooting software installations and operations.
  • Understanding of computer networks with ability to identify, troubleshoot, and document network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
  • At least 5 years analyzing and correcting data flow issues within systems.
  • Experience in understanding network diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot dataflow and computer system related issues.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise dataflow and Nifi. 
  • Willing to perform Panama shift work. This team works 12hr shifts, they rotate every 8 weeks, and have every other weekend off.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $148,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
