Site Reliability Engineer 2

Site Reliability Engineer 2 - is expected to have a good understanding of the software development lifecycle, know automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI-Continuous Integration / CD - Continuious Deployment), and have classical system administration experience. They are expected to work across departments with managers, developers, and administrators to improve our software products for the customer. Experience with automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and related tools.  Collaborate with developers to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and efficient delivery of software. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure, applications, and networking.  Experience coordinating with development teams to streamline code deployment.  Conduct system tests for security, performance, availability, and reliability.  Ensure the stable performance of the infrastructure in a large-scale setting and know how to scale that infrastructure.

Recommended experience:
  • Certifications: CKA, CKAD
  • AWS Cloud
  • Experience using Docker, Artifactory, Git or GitLab
  • Other Programming Languages: JSON, YAML, Ansible, Terraform, Go
  • Software: Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry,
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation
  • Experience in writing Ansible Playbooks to configure Linux
  • Approved for 60% telework

Required Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required and a Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required: OR Eight (8) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional SRE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Minimum three (3) years of experience with administering Docker, programming with C++ and/or Python, and programming on/and administering Linux servers is required.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance w/Polygraph required

The salary range for this role is $133,000 - $160,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
