Network Engineer

The Network Engineer monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems; provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the global networks and systems. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutover. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and evaluating global Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) incidents.

Description

•    Monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, and/or evaluates hardware, software and other network related problems
•    Provide technical expertise for performance and/or configuration of the enclave networks and systems. 
•    Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Familiarity with Cisco IOS, F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto hardware and software a plus. 
•    Schedules, coordinates and executes firmware upgrades and hardware migrations. 
•    Coordinates with all responsible users and external orgs to resolve network or system incidents. 
•    Familiarity with the AWS cloud environment, in particular EC2 and VPC
•    Familiarity with configuring DNS BIND 
•    Familiarity with running common commands in Linux OS.
•    Familiarity with scripting and automation, particularly Ansible, is a plus.

Required Qualifications:
  • DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT level 1 is required (SEC+ce or A+ or Network+)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline, and six (6) years experience applying fundamental skills and concepts using established procedures and standard practices to work problems or limited scope based on detailed instructions from the supervisor or instructor. An additional nine (9) years or an Associate’s Degree with seven (7) additional years may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required

The salary range for this role is $127,000 - $160,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
